AWS Continues to Lead the Cloud Provider Market

Gartner’s recent forecast for the Cloud Computing markets states that the market will grow at a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 13.38 % and reach $411B by 2020. The report predicts that Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), currently growing at a 23.31% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), will outpace the overall market growth of 13.38% through 2020. The next largest growth area will be in Platform-As-A-Service (PAAS) and is projected to grow 18.24 % YOY and will likely reach $20.8B by 2020. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) revenue is predicted to grow from $58.6B in 2017 to $99.7B in 2020.
